The Westview anomaly, was the enslavement of the residents of Westview, New Jersey, by Wanda Maximoff. The residents of Westview were confined to the Hex, a barrier conjured by the use of chaos magic, and forced to portray characters in a fictional sitcom featuring Maximoff, her husband Vision, and her children Tommy and Billy. The Westview anomaly ended with the residents expressing their humanity, inflicting guilt within Maximoff.

Maximoff developed a relationship with Vision, a sentient humanoid, during her confinement to the Avengers Compound following the attempted capture of Brock Rumlow. During the Battle of Wakanda, Vision was killed by Thanos, who took the Mind Stone embedded within his head and initiated the Snap, killing half of all life in the universe, including Maximoff. She was resurrected by Bruce Banner in the Blip. Grieving the loss of Vision, Maximoff traveled to Westview, where he had intended to build a home. In an uncontrolled incident, she released chaos magic, forming the Westview anomaly and a recreation of Vision.

The Westview anomaly was observed by S.W.O.R.D., who dispatched Maria Rambeau to enter the Hex, and by Agatha Harkness, a sorceress residing in Westview. S.W.O.R.D. and Harkness fought against Maximoff in the Battle of Westview, where she realized the consequences of her actions and dismantled the Hex.
