Baron Wolfgang von Strucker was an operative who served as a leader of Hydra until his assassination in May 2015.
Born to an aristocratic German family, von Strucker attended Hydra Preparatory Academy. He was a high-ranking S.H.I.E.L.D. official who was among many who infiltrated the organization as Hydra operatives. von Strucker led research on the Mind Stone, encased within the Scepter, at the Sokovian Hydra base. Following an attack on the base by the Avengers, von Strucker was arrested. Ultron killed von Strucker in his cell. The death of von Strucker and Doctor List weakened Hydra until it was reorganized by Grant Ward.
