Tony Stark: Difference between revisions

In 2013, [[Advanced Idea Mechanics]]' [[Extremis]] program became responsible for a series of explosions. Founder [[Aldrich Killian]] covered up the incidents under the guise of the "[[Trevor Slattery|Mandarin]]" in [[Aldrich Killian's insurrection plot|an insurrection plot]]. After threatening the Mandarin, [[Tony Stark's mansion|Stark's mansion]] was [[Destruction of Tony Stark's mansion|destroyed]]. Stark discovered that Killian was responsible for the attacks and defeated him in the [[Battle on the Norco|battle on the ''Norco'']]. After the battle, Stark executed the [[Clean Slate Protocol]], destroying his suits of armor, but constructed additional suits during the [[war on Hydra]]. Influenced by [[Wanda Maximoff]], Stark was compelled to construct [[Ultron]], a peace-keeping artificial intelligence. Ultron attempted to [[Ultron's offensiveattempted human extinction|eliminate]] humans from Earth. The Avengers defeated Ultron in the [[Battle in Sokovia]], but the [[Sokovia]]n capital of [[Novi Grad]] was destroyed.

Remorseful of his activities in Sokovia, Stark supported the establishment of the [[Sokovia Accords]], regulating enhanced individuals under the [[United Nations]]. He accused [[Steve Rogers]] of harboring [[Bucky Barnes]], an assassin who was framed for the [[ViennaUnited InternationalNations Vienna Centreoffice bombing]] by [[Helmut Zemo]], beginning the [[Avengers Civil War]]. Stark discovered that Barnes was responsible for his parents' deaths and fought with Rogers, effectively ending the Avengers. Stark began assisting [[Peter Parker]] and became engaged to [[Pepper Potts]], his former assistant and the CEO of Stark Industries.

During the [[Infinity War]], the [[Children of Thanos]] staged [[Attack on Greenwich Village|an attack]] on [[Greenwich Village]] to steal the [[Time Stone]]. Stark, Parker, and [[Stephen Strange]] convened on [[Titan (planet)|Titan]] with the [[Guardians of the Galaxy]] to defeat [[Thanos]]. Following the [[Battle of Titan]], Strange gave the Time Stone to Thanos in order to spare Stark's life. Stark and [[Nebula]] survived the [[Snap]] and escaped on the ''[[Benatar]]'', but were stranded in space until they were [[Rescue of Nebula and Tony Stark|rescued]] by [[Carol Danvers]]. Upon returning to Earth, Stark retired from his activities as Iron Man and had a daughter, [[Morgan Stark|Morgan]]. In 2023, [[Scott Lang]] escaped the [[Quantum Realm]], suggesting Stark use the realm to retrieve the [[Infinity Stones]] and undo the Snap. Stark initiated the [[Time Heist]] and retrieved the [[TheftSpace Stone]] in two attempts, first [[First theft of the MindSpace Stone|Mindin 2012]] and afterwards [[TheftSecond theft of the Space Stone|Spacein Stones1970]]. In the [[Battle of Earth]], Stark sacrificed himself to defeat Thanos' army.
